FTLOA President’s Message:

Members

Being an artist is sometimes a daunting task, and the road you take may seem unfulfilling, endless, and full of blind spots; but deep down there is a drive in some small part of your brain that tells you to keep moving forward. Always, always listen to that small part of your brain. That part of your brain is your art. Being an artist means you open yourself up to all who see, who have the power to praise or criticize or to judge, who can encourage or discourage, who can make or break you, the artist. Your job is to take all of it in--the good, the bad, and the somewhat weird -- and use it to grow to be the best artist you can be. No matter what is said, your art is who you are. Be proud and believe in yourself. Once you conquer that task all else will fall into place. Being an artist means you automatically become a mentor. Some time in your life you will influence someone with your art. I am humble to be a part of this club, to meet and learn from you, the members. To watch us grow and become a fulfilling organization that reaches out with open arms to all who come in contact with us
