| Ron Gaul is having a small show from now through mid-April at the Main Street Cafe in downtown Vancouver (603 Main St.). Ron says "I will be doing my work in a "meet the artist" venue down there on Friday evening, March 5 during the "first Friday" artwalk." |
| There will be a show of the art of FTLOA member Janice Taitano at the Columbia Bank in Kalama in February and March. Stop by the bank and take a look! Please resist any urge you may have to augment your income by making a heist from the bank while you're there |
Jacques Drapeau
put up a display of some of my paintings at the Country Corner Kitchen & Tap Room today. The display should be up for all, or most of, February. For those of you are ignorant as to the location of this restaurant (as I was until this past week), it is on Spirit Lake Highway, two or three miles east of Castle Rock. The Daily News printed a nice picture of one of my paintings. |
| Here is the picture of the wonderful painting that Barbara Lancaster, a Kelso Kiwanis member, did for the CJAC and the plaque that is outside the room. Kelso Kiwanis teamed up with Longview Kiwanis to furnish the room. Kelso Kiwanis sponsored the canvas and a portion of the frame and Cascade Title sponsored most of the frame for the art. The Child Justice and Advocacy Center is a central place that abused children can go and be interviewed by police, attorneys, medical personnel etc. This saves already abused children from being moved all over the place and being interviewed in cold, heartless places. It also gives them a semi-home feel and allows other people to witness the interview from another room via a one way window. This facility will need to be sponsored to help it stay open in the future but both Kiwanis groups and Cascade Title are proud to have partially sponsored the beginning of this program and facility. |
