My name is Doris Barrick. I have lived in Washington state for most of my life, coming from North Carolina as a child. I have a husband of 5 years, 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.
I have always enjoyed fine arts, crocheting, cake decorating, needlepoint, anything to keep my hands busy. I had always dreamed or doing oil or acrylic painting but never got the opportunity. One year at the fair I went into the art department and saw a lady painting a plate. That was the start of my china painting. I started taking classes in 1999, I have been addicted to it ever since. I attend the Oregon Porcelain Artist Retreat in Seaside every year.
I have now painted two oil paintings, hoping to do more. I do some kind of art every day. I have tried stained glass and now fused glass and wire wrapping. If I have anything that you are interested in buying just ask.
