Hi, I am Tracey Smith. It started in the 4th grade, loving art. I had a great teacher to inspire & encourage
me. While in high school I took classes under John Mendoza. I enjoyed all mediums, but watercolor did it for me. Then when I was 22 I moved back to Colorado. My father & I took a stained glass class. That was it, we were hooked. What was so interesting is that my father and I are so different and each of our stained glass windows was a reflection of our own style. I have continued to do stained glass, (mostly custom windows) no matter where life has taken me. And over the years there were certain themes, like Colorado a lot of Indian, Southwest & Western. While in the South, mostly Victorian. I've enjoyed teaching classes hoping to inspire others as I had been. Now that I have come to Washington, my latest creations have been inspired by the sea,  my mermaids. I also enjoy creating fairies, dragonflies, flowers, and mosaic bird baths. You never know what will inspire you to create something magical & even mystical. Color is so important and glass is a great medium to truly enjoy light through color. I love what I do.

I think everyone should have even a small piece of stained glass to enjoy.
